They've not been finished with a protective coating, the black colour has stained my ears. They feel grainy/uncomfortable to wear. Depth is half the size of other wooden plugs I usually wear.

These plugs use a standard rubbing wax as a finish and do not contain a 'stain' coating over the wood. The depth of these plugs is indicated on the product description/images.
